Homework Log (A1 - Eng 11 L3)
In addition to the assignments below, all students will complete weekly SAT practice on
KhanAcademy.org: 10 reading questions (13 minutes) and 10 writing questions (8 minutes).

Based on student feedback, I have suspended this "Homework Log" page and will focus
my full attention on our Google Classroom. This "Room 213 Blog" will still contain rubrics
and other course information and resources (see English 11 L3 page above).
I welcome your input -- please let me know if you would like me to continue posting on
this homework log also, or if you have other suggestions for improved communication.
11/9 - Complete the "Thoreau Responses" writing prompt on Google
Classroom for homework.

11/7 - Read "Where I Lived and What I Lived For" (Thoreau) in our
Transcendentalism book.

11/2 - Read "Civil Disobedience" (Thoreau) in our Transcendentalism book.

9/18 - Begin working in the PSAT Student Guide booklet, following the
directions on Google Classroom.
9/14 - Complete responses for the first TWO of three stories on the
Native American Folklore assignment on Google Classroom.
9/12 - Finish reading The Scarlet Letter (chapters 22-24). You are encouraged
to take notes and be prepared for a quiz.
9/7 - Read The Scarlet Letter, chapters 19-21. You are encouraged to take
notes and be prepared for a quiz.
